Che's voice

Che seems to be someone who is longing for his past and the way his life was before the journey. It surprises me that a person like Che turns into someone who people compare to Hitler. He sounds really calm and almost friendly so far in the book. This excerpt lets the reader know that he has changed over a period of time and he is aware of the changes he went through.

“For me, the sea has always been a confidant, a friend absorbing all it is told and never revealing those secrets; always giving the best advice- is meaningful noises can be interpreted any way you choose.” Page 34

Che sounds very calm and almost relaxed during the journey. He seems to find comfort from the sea and enjoys listening to the noises the sea make.
